Ferrite 조직의 기반위에 50%정도의 Austenitic조직이 공존하는 dual phase 금속으로,
Austenitic 보다 2배이상의 강도를 가지고 있어, 기계 가공 및 성형이 어렵다.
또한, Austenitic 보다 열팽창 계수가 낮고, 열전도도가 높아서 열교환기등의 tube 재질로적합.
Duplex grades provide high resistance to stress corrosion cracking and have high mechanical-strength.
